Monique Krüs

Monique Krüs studied psychology at the University of Utrecht, combining a preparatory year of classical guitar studies at the Utrecht Conservatory. She had her own jazztrio, was a student in the opera class at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, has sung numerous world premiers of opera as a dramatic coloratura soprano and made the complete sound design of the youth tv channel 'Z@ppelin' in the period 2000-2009.

In the meantime, her 5th opera 'Anne and Zef' based on Anne Frank has been performed by the Dutch Philharmonic Orchestra and composed the leader music for the weekly AVROTROS television program Kunstuur. Future projects include the compulsory work for the International Vocalists Concours in Den Bosch and a work for the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.

Monique Krüs writes for a wide variety of occasions and ensembles.  Her vast experience as a singer is a valuable asset. She is capable of transforming the needs of a client into appropriate music.
